^ Spent the better part of an hour with my roommates trying to identify the robots from this image. (right click on view image for large size) and we got a good solid 80% of them I.D. ed between all 3 of us. Truly the most epic kind of nostalgia.. Did you guys see evil robot Bill & Tedd yet?

The news: I miss updating my comic 200% right now, I haven’t had the heart to put up a hiatus sign up because I want to keep updating, but my current job situation has grown hostile towards my art. In the past I used to be able to update 6 times a week when the building was still serviced by my old company and my boss Curtis was very laid back. Lately however, Things have become so micromanaged that I’m finding it impossible to do the commissions I desperately need, the resumes, personal art AND the comic.

This brings me to my main issue. I need more commissions badly from folks, why? Because Things have gotten so rocky with my current employer that I may be out of work soon. In this economy its really hard to find a work ( an art job doubly so). Without going into too much detail let’s just say working at a company for 7 years is not enough to save you, (do not rest on your laurels) as I am forced to find other revenue sources in the meantime and send resumes out like tic-tacs. If any of you have seen my main art site (witch I cannot link here) let me know what you think would make it a stronger body of work and please please Don’t be a stranger, I love reading your responses.

After dealing with the death of my mother, After having busted both ankles on one stair, after having a paycheck all screwed up to hell, I have just one message: It sucks being old.

I was just having a conversation with some friends about how the human body was not meant to live too far past age 30, as if the premise of the movie “Logan’s Run” had the age number spot on. people spend so much time fending off hair, armpit smell, dandruff, bathroom necessity’s, menstrual cycles, flu, gas, sagging, hunger, cold, and everything else that will just come back in a day or two is it any wonder what’ the point of being so flawed is? We live 70, 80, 90, years now and the problems (like for instance, sprained ankles) only get weirder and wilder as time goes on.

It’s a real pain in the ass being a human. If you guys wonder why I practically worship the robot well partially, If I got rid of all those problems I just listed? We’d all be machines. And I’m ready for my cyborg body now.. please?

To quote Derek: “When I die, somebody is going to have a lot to answer for, and I want to have a hand in my re-design.”

In other news, Another friend pointed me towards a musical done by the Avenue Q and creators of Southpark called “Mormon the musical” Its offensive and hilarious and I recommend you stream it (from NPR website here) Mormon The Musical

I took a week off work to get some serious portfolio artwork done, but the admin introduced me to a game called Minecraft and I wasted damn near the whole week playing this shit. Its evil, such an evil little game..

Oh! yeah I also have some Mime artwork and a comic page on the way.

*also: I started playing the DS remake of the remake of the first front mission game. Kinda ironic that years later, I’d be playing an improved version of a zsnes emulated rom that was wiped out from a windows virus.

News: Been a while since my last post here on the blog. Things here have been rather hectic emotionally and financially but nothing compared to the crap Japan has been facing. Infact I noticed the number of actual mech pics tanked dramatically in favor of big titty monsters on pixiv, So their hasn’t been much incentive to post. I did however get a viewer request from an artist named “Erin” (writter of Heroman fics also) who is very much into Heroman, Tf, Vocaloid type stuff. Speaking of SRW, this week Ive had close to 5 robot dreams in a row, Most notably the Granzon who is this xbox hueg beast of a black hole generator robo. Ill be sure to post pics of the mech in the gallery if you aren’t familiar. Either way, Im thinking of doodling some Jankey-ass porn of him. Defiantly have a thing for the “big’uns”

I’m going to be sending the originals out shortly as soon as I get a few missing addresses. their is still time for a few more jobs, But I’ll be returning to my portfolio/comic project asap.
