This month would be a shitty mini-June. I’ll get to that in a moment though, just want to let everyone know that my final trimester placement of clinicals is going to work out just fine. The hour and a half drive there and back every other day is going to wreak havoc on me however, if I dont go broke from the gas bill beforehand. The upside is that, with a kind reminder or two from “SHE WHO SHAL NOT BE NAMED” I have started to get back some semblance of those coloring skills that I lost over the years. While my style is destined to always remain relatively cartoony, I think I have cracked the code, the problems Ive been having with contrast.  After Ive continued to practice a little more, I think the next logical step will be to play with different kinds of atmospheric lighting at different points in the day cycle. This will require me to have open windows or outside scenes to really play with that kind of lighting. But I am a big hypocritical pervert, so its unclear when I’ll get around to composing a more serious picture soon..

Speaking of this, I am going to change the way I draw porn for a little bit, Rather then having long multi panel porn scenes of just one couple. There are a few sexual scenarios I would like to just see “as-is” with various vehicles in a medley. Everything from Prince Tomcat doggy-styling his Queen wife in a bathtub, to a little weisel AWC pounding a voluptuous red-head after intensely examining her pussy with his tendrils. A fox scout car taking a girl out to the secluded woods and banging her from behind (she leans against his front) and he moans “yes! test my suspension!” in french.  Little scenes here and there that I don’t really intend to develop into full ideas atm. Its easier to just do one-offs or two-offs atm when my weekend time is under fire with school study.

Some bad news: I will no longer be able to stream art. Or rather, its suspended indefinitely until either I pay for my own internet, or the current problems Ive been having cease.  The cause of the sudden problems is still unknown, and since I don’t pay for the internet, I cannot call up support and demand a fix. Thank you to all who have attended over the last few months. It was fun as shit! <3

The worse news: So part of my molar broke off 2 nights ago, leaving a huge gaping hole that I cant even pay for to have fixed. Also, they canceled my food aid again. (meaning I have to fucking go through that whole god damned process AGAIN). These things wont miraculously fix themselves until I get a job- which cant happen until I take my board exam in 3 months. So the poverty continues.

Regarding Morphs:

A while back I criticized the way certain artists interpreted morph art, and managed to piss off one or two people. While I am sure they aren’t watching anymore, All I wanna say is this: If I couldn’t articulate it 2 weeks ago clearly enough, here is an image that best describes what I was really bitching about.

It wont change anything trying to point this out, and people are just going to draw whatever gets their dick hard anyway, but I cant take your shit seriously if draw your stuff more like the girl on the left. This is sadly the current state that 99% of aeromorph/tankmorph art is in. They are just a new window theme for human hypertits or 9 foot long cocks that furry artists draw because its the next weirdest thing they haven’t run into the ground yet.  Nobody actually gives a fuck about the vehicles, or the creature design. Just a cesspool of artists slapping random triangles and airplane muzzles on human bodies for fap materiel. I believe there is real cool ass potential for creature design here, And its a fucking blessing we still have artists like Vonkickass and Irondrone willing to put some thought in.

Do remember, this is just my opinion. You guys got a right to draw what you will. But if I get salty about this stuff, now you know why.

One more thing about Morphs, I really should put my money where my mouth is, when it comes to machine-human hybridism. A guy I recently did a commission for, said that his vehicle babies were born initially looking not too dissimilar from chubby human babies. As they got older, pass from adolescence into adulthood, they take on many more of the features from their vehicle parent. I am officially adopting this idea, as it leaves room for some incredibly cool ideas for people in the world of Atoll Lab. Its also means, that ALL of the morphs I have drawn up to this point, need another design pass.  The catolina girl- while cute and cool.. needs to be fatter and more boatlike to represent the parent who is a flying boat. the RQ4-Morph needs to have more of a gargoyle meets meets surveillance drone look to him. Even Blackberry needs to have a much larger back and neck to house the engine that would send her blades a spinning.

5th trimester finals are coming and I Thought it was time to make a new post about the happenings in the world. School has been alright as well as clinicals, cant really complain. Titanatelier domain payed off for another year thanks to the folks over at Patreon, and helpful donations from a fan (krill) thank you! S’far as my art goals are concerned, I originally meant to have page 30 of Atoll Lab knocked out by the end of December but things didn’t work out that way.  My current art schedule as follows:

1. Dire machine study
2. Delta pic
3. January art cards.
4. (vehicle expression style sheet)

After I get this month complete Ill be working on the comic almost exclusively in March and hopefully I’ll actually make some progress in the damn thing.  Speaking of art..

Humble Titan fan Iron has been up to some good shit including his own take on a female tankmorph for the Abrams MBT :

I wanted to do this shout out because this morph follows the kind of design philosophy I can get behind. While yes, some features may have been inspired off of previous sketches, I think the attention to the overall theme of the American mbt in its design is a real strong point here (just check out the reactive armor skirt).  We swim in a sea of similar “morph” arts where virtually no attention is payed to creature design but to favor sex appeal. And I had mentioned to someone earlier that I thought that humanoid ground units would look pretty much very Robot-like at first glance due to all the panels, antennae, guns, armor, and gears.

Iron does a lot of artwork though, mostly focusing on large complex siege engines and very Warhammer 40k inspired machinery. you can find his artworks over on DA. He has also written A fallout-esque/Mad Max-esque post apocalyptic mechaphillia story that I think is totally worth reading. Incidentally I started a new game, Divinity: Original sin. This game is akin to one of those old black Isles top down D&D rpgs and I’ll have more of a review once its finished, but so far its pretty damn good. As for AW, Ive got my 2nd tier 9 mbt the Leopard IIA6 and the 3rd dealer will be dropping next month. Game is really starting to shape up in my humble opinion. Also, Shroud of The Avatar is approaching its final wipe before the game goes live. If anyone plays , there are 5 or 6 months left till account changes are set in stone so get in there and play to your hearts content till the end.

To Iron: I know I asked you on livestream if you had skype and I am unsure if you downloaded it or not, but if you don’t actually use that program and only got it to live chat with me, I have a better alternative. You don’t need it. Instead, download Teamspeak and set up your microphone for that. Its a very popular gaming voice and chat program that takes up a fraction of the memory that bloated Microsoft Skype fucked up, and it has phone support. I’m going to hence forth quit using Skype as a chat program and only for a tool to communicating with my family.

I’m stepping away from skype for a multitude of reasons, but if any of you who previously talked to me do not want to waste your time with TS, then alternatively, I have Steam Chat. If you want any of the aforementioned credentials, you can e-mail me  .

 

This post will no doubt come late, mainly due to the fact that I wanted to have Fallout 4 beaten and all my art cards finished up. I hope all of you have had a remarkable Christmas full of helpful gifts and warm evening feasts in this cold weather. I got tires for xmass from the ol’ dad, 4 of them. A much needed addition to a vehicle who hadn’t had em changed in 56k miles. Stayed home with a 6 pack of beers, a rack of pork ribs, and worlds greatest tank battles on science channel. Really I Couldn’t have asked for a happier holiday. November’s art cards are complete and now I can focus on maybe another comic page, porn piece, or science study. As for new years coming up, my resolution is to A. find a RT job, and B. Never take a commission I wouldn’t enjoy. If all else fails, a small goal like.. loose 20 lbs might be in order as well. What’s your New Years resolution?

Uploaded a video of my own arm at clinic, we were checking out an infrared vein finder and its pretty cool. It gave one of the tech’s the willies looking at it, but I cant help but feel that maybe this would be but one of the myriad of bio scanners a modern machine could have built inside them for future human interface.

Armored warfare update:

Ooooooooohhhshiiiiyyyyttt son. I’m Tier 9+ officially in AW and while I couldn’t wait anymore for the implementation of my Polski Husbando, I decided that I would use my Shishkin token on the Challenger II. I had always planed to get this tank because I think its a sexy as fuck British man. As it turns out however, it is one of the top tanks in the game (about equal with T90MS). If you play this tank, prepare to never ever be threatened again.  They did a special + 200% EXP Christmas bonus thing and its going to run out in about 16 hours from now, but I banked a whole shitload of locked rep to use for later. If anyone plays or is thinking of playing, It will behoove you to get some kind of premium time. Otherwise you wont make any headway even if you grind your ass off daily. Despite the general slowness of the grind, I hope they introduce a new dealer soon, as it would be quite nice to start getting the French/Viking nations tanks. Btw AW is now Putin approved, so they probably wont nerf the t90MS or the BMPT-72 too soon. If you are looking for a sure bet in this modern Wot clone, go down the British and Russian lines asap.

Fallout 4 update:

So I finally beat the game. Over 6 days of gaming, over 60 levels, 600 explosive .45 bullets, the journey is finally over. I wont spoil the story for anyone who is interested, but I think I can now give a real honest to goodness review of the game from the eyes of a true fan.

The good: I had a lot of fun with this game despite the nasty things that anti Bethesda gamers spat out the first week of the games launch. You get over 200 hours of exploration of a wasteland full of awesomely redesigned creatures and raiders. every item matters, no more bullshit coffee mugs and clipboards that don’t seem to do anything no- even that is useful. They got rid of the skills system in favor of a no-level cap perks list that plays and feels just like the previous game.  there was also a TON less bugs in this version for PC then fallout 3 and New Vegas combined.   It was everything I needed it to be, a beautifully updated Skyrim engine based landscape of death and destruction. The addition of being able to design your own settlements was a welcome change and will surely be a modders playground in the near future. And this game has the best fallout intro to date.

The bad: Maybe some of you guys tuned into the videogame awards a couple of weeks ago and saw that The Witcher 3 took best game of 2015 over fallout, so why is this? Well for one thing, Bethesda has never been particularly good at crafting a story. I say this based on 5 of their past “open world” games including this one. You could say that its really impossible to make a rich story based on the very nature of open world games, that its the lore of the world that is the story. I understand this perspective, but for how long they said this game was in development, it makes the farcry writers look like geniuses. The story of this game is about as bland as 200 year old Salisbury steak. Its yet to be seen if the expansion pass will somehow redeem the story a little bit as they tend to be smaller bite sized chunks of game then one so massive as the main story.

The ugly: Fallout 4 has a very different feel from the previous games, but I cant help but feel that some depth to this game has been lost over its previous incarnations. This is all just strictly opinion, But v.a.t.s. no longer matters as your gun is way more effective shooting from the hip then it is without it, this makes certain S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats a complete afterthought in gameplay. (In the past you needed charisma and a little bit of intelligence to pass speech challenges, now all you have to do is put on a Mr. Rogers sweater and drink a beer to pass challenges?) Its as if The game designers’  push to make this game more like a shooter and less like a strategy rpg.

Do I still recommend this game? Oh hell ya. ride out tomorrow and pick up a copy with a coupon if you can. Tell em Ratty sent ya.
