Apple data: I introduce here a new minor charecter in the prince Tomcat Comic. he is like MTD and X-29, another one of the NASA druid scientist researchers keeping the children of man under lead lined roof tops so they cannot be scanned by the black lodge. Here, the girl gives “Exyl” the gift of the taste of a honey crisp apple. This data can only be gathered via human neurology, and the translation that happens from the Golden neuron strand’s chemical translator. Dire machines don’t have taste buds, stomachs, or the ability to eat human food because the mouths are false vestigial forms for increased personalization. Their is a whole lot more that goes into consideration here. Soo much of taste is referenced by mood, and also the olfactory sensors. One’ person’s taste receptors are different from others, so you’d need multiple data points to form a clearer concept of apple flavor. Not all apples taste the same, some apples can be under ripe, Over ripe, and the recipient angry, or sad. Signal to noise ratio of the data received depends on the level of corruption of the flesh of the human subject. But each instance of bio data gathering serves to build a complete picture of living things upon the planet for these eldritech monsters. Every piece is precious.

A Question from Mcmiky: okay, so I’ve been wondering this for a while, and yes, i know they are made from a virus that infects the machine as long as their is a semi-modern device inside the machine, EI a gps, or computer of some sort.
but my main question, is, would a Dire Machine’s body, be considered Bio-metal. Bio-metal, is a substance that still has the properties of metal but is also Biological or organic in nature. Bio-metal is living metal. and it can think on its own, change shape and bond to a host.
from what i read, that’s what the nanites that infect machines and humans do.. it gives machines independent thought, makes them a living organism, and changes them, granting them, manipulation arms, eyes, mouths… hell there is even anthropomorphic Dire machines.
so id just like an official Yes, or no.
Tbh.. got into a bit of a annoying argument and i just want an answer. right or wrong, yes or no. i don’t care, id just like to know.
@Mcmickey: Dire machine bodies are not organic, but are Synthsteel. An infusion of many trillions of smaller machines that mimic a very limited no. of functions of biological tissue. It is not a complete mimicry, and thus doesn’t allow the machine body to do some of the same things that mammal tissue does. For example, Dire machines are incapable of motions that would bend the chassis, hull, or air frame greater than 20 degrees in any direction (because they are they are actually closer to beings with rigid exo-skelleton shells like oysters, mollusks, and clams). So YES it is Synthetic Bio metal via infusion.

I kinda ran out of time this month to make some additional doodles where he scales a wall and uses his tentacles to walk over ground obstacles, But their is always next time. I needed to do this in case I start up the Atoll Lab comic again, as Flotilla would be about his part of the story. The little “gas cap” thingies on his nose, I want to have them pop up to reveal coils when he charges his power. On his back are 4 (maybe more) separate tubes that spring from his dead engine during moments where more energy is needed, is the sort of “Super Sayan” visual change I think would be cool during the fight. Its only visible on the bottom image.
